Oftentimes during the rush at Moto, when the place is humming and packed with people, we turn to each other and say, ‘It feels just like a real restaurant!’ Because it’s still just so surreal.

Moto was born ten years ago from a simple moment of clarity in a home kitchen over a bowl of warm dough that always inspired me to make something authentic and creative with my hands. So with two small children and little more than determination, Jessica and I set out to build our vision out of a very tiny space in Sandwich. We borrowed, scrounged, and learned by doing, guided by loyal customers who became friends, employees who each left their mark, and so many who generously shared their expertise.

A few years and locations later, I like to think our guests can feel this culmination of community when they walk in, and maybe get a sense of our journey. After years of expansion and growth, we’re now focusing in on Falmouth and its seasonal offshoot in Popponesset to push our creativity and deepen our passion for bread—the heart of the crust our customers love.

It’s still so hard to believe all that Moto has become. We’re filled with gratitude. Now we look to be on the giving end of this community and, hopefully, be part of someone else’s remarkable journey.
