Although President Clinton failed to make an appearance at the Falmouth Road Race, several members of his entourage did. A White House staff member and at least four Secret Service agents ran in Sunday’s race.

Dave McLean, who works on Air Force One, finished 1,826 with a time of 55:01. Secret Service Agent Rich Miller finished 3,705 with a time of 63:44. Another Secret Service Agent, Peter Dowling, also entered the race, but the road race did not have his time. He either did not finish or decided not to run.

Although a White House staff member and two more Secret Service agents entered, the office did not have their names.

Senator John F. Kerry finished his first official Falmouth Road Race in just under an hour.

He and his daughter, Alexandra, finished 2,775 and 2,776 respectively with a time of 59:10. His daughter Venessa, finished ahead of the pair with a time of 52:1, placing her at 1,304.

Although this year was the first time Senator Kerry officially raced, Matthew Auger, who works at the road race office, said he heard the senator say he had raced unofficially in the past.

“He’s been a crasher.” Mr. Auger said jokingly. “We’re looking to take action on this.”

State Representative Thomas S. Cahir finished 380 with a time of 44:59.
